Tracey Mooney has been declared the winner of the 2025 Racing Post/SIS Betting Shop Manager of the Year competition.
Following an awards ceremony at Lincoln’s Inn on Monday, November 10th, where the final eight shortlisted candidates were in attendance, Tracey from William Hill, Prestwick, Scotland, was announced as this year’s champion, paying testament to her diligent effort and commitment to the retail betting industry.
Prior to Monday’s unveiling, Tracey and her fellow finalists had met for an evening at Kempton Park, where they greeted the competition’s judges for the first time and completed an interview with Derek Thompson before enjoying a thrilling card of racing.
On the eve of the final, the eight candidates, accompanied by key members of their shop teams, then met the judges for a thorough question-and-answer session.
After successfully navigating a rigorous and highly competitive process, Tracey can now look forward to attending the famous Ascot Racecourse in December alongside her shop team as guests of SIS, as well as high-profile international racing fixtures and other industry events over the coming year.
Helen Scott, Head of Commercial Delivery at SIS and member of the judging panel, said:
“Tracey’s passion for her customers and her dedication to delivering exceptional service shone throughout the competition. The Betting Shop Manager of the Year award recognises the vital role managers play in keeping the retail betting experience vibrant, and Tracey is an outstanding ambassador for the industry.
“On behalf of everyone at SIS, I would like to congratulate her on this well-deserved achievement, and to her seven fellow finalists for an honourable and commendable effort throughout this year’s contest.”
