SIS help raise impressive amount at Racing Welfare Charity Golf Day
3rd May 2017 - SIS
SIS was pleased to club together for the 23rd edition of the Racing Welfare Charity Golf Day recently, sending along a formidable team to the famous Woburn Golf Club to raise some much-needed funds.
A four ball of Katie Burman, Simon Free, Ian Wassell (Ladbrokes Coral), and Daniel Coverdale (Coverdale Racing) performed well to achieve eighth position in a strong field blessed by fine spring weather. More importantly, attendees and sponsors raised more than £24,000 in the process, helping provide invaluable support for the charity’s various worthy causes.
We are pleased to continue our support for Racing Welfare, who are the only organisation supporting all who work in racing, including stud, stable, and support staff, throughout their careers and into retirement. SIS continues to invest in horse racing and it’s invaluable to have such a dedicated charity helping ensure the industry is supportive of those who make it great.
Kindly assisting Racing Welfare this year as head sponsor was Rewards4Racing, the industry’s award-winning rewards programme, who have also pledged to donate to Racing Welfare each time a member makes a purchase through their website.
JSC Consulting eventually ran out winners from the 25 assembled teams including various industry heavyweights – and we now look forward to the 24th edition as we assist in raising even more for such a valuable cause.
