Shops get the Latin beat

Betting shop customers were given a glimpse of SIS’ new service from Latin America this week as the first meetings were trialled via SIS+.

SIS is covering between five and seven races up to 21.30 from countries including Chile, Argentina and Uruguay, and the service is free of charge throughout April in order to give customers time to assess the benefits to their business.

SIS is asking for feedback from customers and any comments regarding the coverage, which is part of SIS’ mission to provide more quality racing into shops. It follows the introduction of German meetings from mid-March, which are live each Sunday on SIS+, while some Latin American racing has also been broadcast throughout the winter.

All races will be available as part of the SISdata365 feed and included in the Racing Post Betting Shop Display Edition with form and analysis. SIS is also looking to provide guide shows and a tote dividend starting price with the long-term aim to provide fixed odds betting shows and full SPs.

After April, there will be the option of continuing with the service by paying a nominal one-off payment of £75 per site until 1st September and £25 per month thereafter, at which point SIS expects to be covering two meetings each evening on SIS+.

SIS is also streaming Latin American racing to online customers and that service is due to start later this month.
