Scottish bookmakers have their say

Bookmakers from across Scotland gathered at Hamilton Park racecourse for the latest in this year’s SIS Customer Forums.

Hamilton followed similar get-togethers at Doncaster and Lingfield earlier this year, with Brighton (September 17) and Towcester (November 8) still to come as part of SIS’ ongoing programme of giving customers a platform to engage with each other, share experiences, ask questions directly of SIS executives, and provide feedback.

The forum was chaired by National Sales Manager, Nigel Boardman, who said: “Given all the uncertainty in the LBO sector, it provided a good opportunity for bookmakers to air their concerns, which ensured lively and robust debate.

“As usual, a number of actions points have been taken and we’ll go back and look at those and then report back to the customers.”

After the forum, the attendees were able to enjoy an evening’s racing at the Scottish track.
