SIS is increasing its coverage of thoroughbred horseracing from Latin America, with betting shop customers being given the opportunity to take the additional content via SIS+.
It is part of SIS’ mission to continually look to provide more quality racing. It follows the introduction of German meetings from mid-March, which are live each Sunday on SIS+, while Latin American racing has also been broadcast throughout the winter on Sunday, Monday and some Tuesday evenings on SIS FACTS as part of the Winter Evening Service (WES).
From April 10, SIS will be covering between five and seven races from Latin America each evening on SIS+, up to 21.30 and all races will be available as part of the SISdata365 feed and included in the Racing Post Betting Shop Display Edition with form and analysis.
George Irvine, Managing Director, SIS, said: “Initially, we might introduce the service with guide shows and a tote dividend starting price. But our long-term intention is to provide fixed odds betting shows and full SPs as we do presently for French and UAE (United Arab Emirates) racing.”
Latin American racing, which features meetings from Chile, Argentina and Uruguay, will be free of charge throughout April allowing customers the opportunity to assess the benefits to their business. After that, there will be the option of continuing by paying a nominal one-off payment of £75 per site until 1st September and £25 per month thereafter, at which point SIS expects to be covering two meetings each evening on SIS+.
